We are looking for an experienced Senior Agronomist – Demo & Trial Platforms to take full technical ownership of a highly visible demonstration and trial platform system for an international seed company.
This is not an office-based advisory position. It is a practical agronomic role with direct responsibility for turning demo and trial concepts into high-quality field execution, reliable technical observations and strong product presentation across multiple crops.
You will become the technical owner of the main demonstration platform at Ialomita, while also supporting additional demo and trial locations across Romania.
The scope is broad and practical: crop rotation, soil preparation, sowing, plant density, fertilisation, crop protection, crop monitoring, field interventions, harvest timing and yield evaluation. You will have the autonomy to make agronomic decisions and react rapidly when weather, pests, diseases or operational challenges require adjustments.
You will also coordinate farmers, machinery operators, contractors and specialist service providers while retaining technical ownership of execution, standards and deadlines.
The platform is highly visible and acts as a live product showcase for farmers, distributors, Product Management and international stakeholders, meaning that your work directly influences both technical credibility and product perception.
The profile
We are looking for a senior agronomist or a professional with strong practical field experience who has independently managed demonstration plots, trials or technically demanding agricultural areas in a multi-crop environment.
Strong practical knowledge of crop rotation, sowing, fertilisation, crop protection, crop monitoring and yield assessment is important, together with the ability to coordinate farmers, machinery operators and external service providers.
A university degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Crop Science or a related field is strongly preferred.
The main operational base is Ialomita, with regular travel to other demonstration and trial locations in Romania. The position is predominantly field-based and cannot be performed remotely.
Romanian is mandatory, while professional working English is an important advantage. A valid driving licence and high availability for travel are also required.
For someone who enjoys combining technical agronomy, field execution, autonomy and visible responsibility, this is an opportunity to become the technical owner of an important multi-crop demo and trial platform system.
