Job Description

• Manage the existing 52 ha Blueberry plantation and develop project extension to 130 ha plantation;
• Oversee all aspects of berry cultivation, including planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest and disease control, and harvesting;
• Develop and implement crop plans, schedules, and budgets;
• Ensure all produce meets quality standards for freshness, size, and taste;
• Implement quality assurance processes and handle any issues related to crop quality;
• Coordinate work schedules and ensure tasks are completed efficiently;
• Manage and maintain farm equipment, machinery, and infrastructure;
• Implement sustainable farming practices and maintain compliance with agricultural regulations;
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards and ensure the farm adheres to them;
• Assist in preparing budgets and financial reports and monitor expenses and work towards optimizing costs without compromising quality.

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness, or a related field (preferred);
• Minimum 5 years of experience in farm management in blueberries, preferably production in pots;
• Strong knowledge of berry cultivation, soil health, pest management, and irrigation systems;
• Knowledge in certification requirements such as Global GAP, GRASP, Smeta and Leaf;
• Proven leadership and team management skills;
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, negotiation skills, attention to detail is a must;
• PC knowledge, valid driver’s license;
• English knowledge, minimum intermediate level.
